I find joy through connecting with soil, friends, water, community, plants, stars and more. I use she or they pronouns. My ancestors come from the cold salty waters and I find alot comfort living along the shores of the salish sea. The last chunk of my life has focused on farming, foraging, garden education and food sovereignty work all over the country.
I decided to pivot to become a Soma Practitioner because I was ready for a change and to grow. This work enlivens me because:
I get to tend to indivual and collective health and vitality.
Soma requires me to be embodied and be listening, curious, connected while giving bodywork.
I get to work with the ancient technology of touch and continue working with my hands.
I have the honor of being a guide for folks to be with their bodies, work with change and connect with their vitality
I will be learning from each client I work with and lead with curiosity
About me:
My values:
Collective liberation. This is belief that “no one is free until everyone is free" and acknowledges that indivuals are not separate from eachother, our enviroments or our more than human kin. With this, I acknowledge that our bodies are deeply impacted by systems of harm and violence with many bodies being disportionatley affected due to race, gender, class, ability and more.
I want to exist in a world where everyone has the space and resources to thrive
I want to tend a space for bodywork where everyone can be their whole selves. That looks meeting you where you are at.
I believe that your bodies intelligance and wisdom and will defer to that through out our sessions
